How to Use a WAVEGUIDE COUPLER (Usage Method)

1. Identify all four ports –
   A WAVEGUIDE COUPLER has clearly labeled ports: Input, Through/Output, Coupled, and Isolated.

2. Connect main line in series –
   Insert a WAVEGUIDE COUPLER directly into the transmission line, with the input port facing the source and the through port facing the load.

3. Terminate the isolated port –
   Always terminate the isolated port of a WAVEGUIDE COUPLER with a matched WAVEGUIDE LOAD to prevent reflections and maintain directivity.

4. Connect the coupled port to a detector –
   Connect a power meter, spectrum analyzer, or detector diode to the coupled port of the WAVEGUIDE COUPLER for signal sampling.

5. Observe the coupling direction –
   A WAVEGUIDE COUPLER is marked with an arrow indicating the forward direction; reverse installation will reduce coupling to the intended port.

6. Match flange types –
   A WAVEGUIDE COUPLER requires the same flange type (UG, CPR, cover, or choke) as the rest of the waveguide system.

7. Power rating verification –
